Security code is a 6-digit number displayed on a token.

You can simply apply it through any of our branch

5. Are all customers required to use a security token?
No. Only personal customers who have online personal banking accounts AND want to conduct designated banking transactions online will be required to use a security token.

7. What should I do after receiving the a security token?
Please activate the token immediately. In order to activate the token, you should logon to our Online Banking and entering the serial number, security code and ID number/ Passport number.
8. When should I use a security token?
Whenever you are conducting designated Online Banking services, you will be prompted to enter the a security code. If the code matches the one generated by our system, your transaction will be successfully authenticated.

9. What if I enter a wrong security code?
You will be prompted to enter a correct one. If you continue to enter a wrong code for 10 times, your token will be locked.
10. I encountered a message asking me to enter another security code after I have just entered one. Why do I need to enter the security code for 2 times?
This message occurs when you have entered a wrong security code for several times before you finally enter a correct one. You will be prompted to enter the consecutive correct security code in this case.

11. What if my token is locked?
Online Banking will lock your security token to protect your accounts from being tampered with if there is a continual input of error security code. If this happens, please bring your security token to any of our branches and our associates will help you.
12. Is the security token Service free?
During the promotional period, customers can enjoy free security token service. However, for lost or broken security tokens, a replacement fee will be charged. For details of the service fee, please refer to our schedule of fee.

13. Any expiry period for the security token?
A security token usually has a lifetime of 2 years. When your security token is expiring, the Bank will arrange to replace a free token for you.
14. I have received a new token, what should I do? And what about my old token?
You should activate the new security token immediately and after successful activation, your old token will be obsolete and you should return it to the Bank.

15. What do I do if I have lost or damaged my token?
Please bring the damaged token to any of our Branch and apply for a new token. A replacement fee of $50 will be charged.
16. What if I want to terminate the service?
You have to visit any of our branches to terminate the service
