• This registration form is only applicable to customers who open account via e-Account Service between March 18 and June 30, 2025.
• For customers who opened account via e-Account Service between February 17 and March 17, 2025, please complete: Registration Form of Personal Banking Customer Time Deposit Promotion (Feb 17 - Mar 17, 2025)

Eligible new customers who open an account through “e-Account Service”, complete Online Registration Form and deposit funds of HKD $100,000 or above by designated dates, can enjoy preferential time deposit interest rate without the needs of going to branches!

Customers have to ensure the provided information is accurate and correct, and match with the records that have been registered with the Bank, otherwise the registration will not be processed without further notice.

The data collected will be processed in accordance to Notice to customers relating to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and used for this promotion only.

Note:

  1. Upon submitting the form by clicking “Confirm” button, you agree the Terms and Conditions for New Personal Banking Customer Time Deposit Promotion.

  2. The Bank will not contact the customer at the maturity of the time deposit. Personal Customer can set up / edit the maturity instruction of sole name accounts through the "Online Personal Banking Service. Company, Private Banking or joint name account Customers can contact the relationship manager for setting up or editing the maturity instruction of the time deposit. If more than one maturity instructions are received by the Bank through any of our channels (no matter through Branches or Online Banking) within a day, the Bank will consider the latest maturity instruction placed as the final instruction. If maturity instruction is not provided, interest on the deposit after maturity will be paid at the lowest savings interest rate as determined by the Bank from time to time.

  3. A Time Deposit Advice will be issued. For time deposit with deposit period below 1 month, such time deposit will be shown in Time Deposit Monthly Statement (applicable for Personal Customer only).

  4. No interest will be paid on uplifting of time deposit before maturity and relevant early redemption handling fee will be charged.

  5. Time Deposit with tenor not more than 5 years is a deposit qualified for protection by the Deposit Protection Scheme in Hong Kong.

  6. Please ensure that the designated account holds adequate funds, specifically a minimum balance of HK$100,000, to facilitate the time deposit placement. Failing which, it may result in an unsuccessful placement of the Time Deposit.
